|Über uns||Daniel's Den is a parent and toddler organisation|
Daniel's Den's mission is to encourage and enrich family life in order to build stronger communities
It has a vision to see:
* Parents and children having the opportunity to ‘know and be known’ in their local community
* People building ‘relationships that matter’ within and beyond their cultural/ethnic group
Our objective is to have family life valued in all levels of society, both locally and nationally.
Daniel's Den runs several Parent and Toddler groups in five different locations around Brent, NW London and also in one venue in Rotherham, South Yorkshire
It provides opportunities for parents/carers and under fives to play and learn together in a safe, welcoming environment. Crafts, playdough, books, cars, building blocks, sensory play, singing, large toys/balls/tunnels are just some of the play experiences on offer.
Parenting support is offered through the distribution of our own Parenting Postcards as well as conversations in each session.
It also organises social activities for parents and children including trips, meals out etc
Founding director Joanna Gordon won a Brent community award in 2008 for 'Long and outstanding community service to the people of Brent'
It has been visited by Cherie Blair, wife of the then Prime Minister Tony Blair; by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer; by Baroness Valerie Amos, leader of the House of Lords. Daniel's Den has also been featured on various News channels and Newspapers.
