Since the announcement that Day Zero has been beaten, Cape Town’s water consumption has shot up by 54 million litres per day. Day Zero may have been delayed, but it will never go away.
In order to address this challenge, CiTi and City of Cape Town have organised a weekend-long Design Sprint at the Woodstock Bandwidth Barn. Participants will be given the challenge to ‘Design a digital campaign, app, tool or game which will help make water-saving the new normal’.
The weekend will be facilitated by experienced professionals working in the technology and design thinking space.
If you have tech and data skills, design skills, a background in behavioural science or just a passion for problem-solving, we want you!
A briefing on the water crisis, the response so far, and approaches to keep Capetonians motivated to save water will take place on Tuesday 10th April from 6pm – 8.30pm at the Woodstock Bandwidth Barn for participants and other interested parties .
