Join the Philadelphia Water Department at Drexel University's Edmund D. Bossone Research Center for a Rain Check workshop and sign up for a free rain barrel or discounted green tool. Use the tickets link to sign up for this workshop.
As our Rain Check partners, the PHS : Pennsylvania Horticultural Society hosts workshops and works with firms certified by Sustainable Business Network to install planters, rain gardens and other green stormwater landscaping as part of efforts to combat polluted runoff that impacts waterways and creates sewer overflows.
Homeowners who invest in projects like de-paving concrete pads can get up to $2,000 through Rain Check cost-sharing.
The first step to starting any green improvement through Rain Check is coming to a workshop, so we hope to see you at the library! When you register at www.pwdraincheck.org, you can also explore some of the options and see what will be a good fit for your property.
Those who rent can still get green tools with permission from the property owner.
