We are excited to announce that over Spring Break, we will be offering 2 weightlifting camps for your teens. The camps will start on April 2nd and run through the 6th.

Teen Beginner Weightlifting Camp
This camp is designed for those who are newer to CrossFit or with limited exposure to barbell lifts. Experience in CrossFit is not a requirement to join this camp, it is open to all. The primary focus of this camp will be teaching the movements of the sport of weightlifting. Athletes will be taught and will practice the snatch and clean & jerk as well as important supplemental movements like squats, deadlifts and presses. The goal is to give the athletes a good foundation in these movements so they can then further refine and train them with the goal of adding speed, power and strength.

Time: 1pm-2pm
Days: Mon-Fri (April 2nd – April 6th)

Teen Intermediate Weightlifting Camp
This camp is designed for teen athletes who are familiar with the olympic lifts, the snatch and clean & jerk. Local high school athletes who are familiar with power cleans, but perhaps not the snatch are also welcome to enroll in this camp.

This camp is not for true beginners. While the primary focus will be on refining technique and practicing progressions that will improve performance, this camp will be fairly intense. The goal is for the athletes to lift as heavy as their technique allows. In addition to training the snatch and clean & jerk, athletes will also perform movements for strength to include squats, deadlifts, presses and accessory work to build core strength and flexibility.

Time: 2pm-4pm
Days: Mon-Fri (April 2nd – April 6th)
