Do you know how to spot a counterfeit bill? Do your employees know what to look for when accepting a paper check or credit card payment? The costs of accepting fraudulent payments can have a big impact—especially on small and owner-operated businesses operating on slim margins.
Learn what to look for, and ensure your employees know what to look for too, at Mid Oregon Credit Union’s free workshop “Don’t Get Faked Out: How to Spot Counterfeit Payments,” scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 at 6 pm at Mid Oregon’s East Bend Conference Room.
Long-time credit union professionals Deanna Devine and Riki Strong have years of experience training front-line credit union tellers on the latest fraud-prevention measures—and they’ve seen the impact that counterfeit payments have on local businesses. They’ll share their tips and guidelines, as well as the latest tools and reference materials, to equip attendees with everything they need to create their own fraud prevention procedures at their business, store, or office.
This workshop is ideally suited for owner-operated businesses, as well as managers and trainers in our local business community—especially those preparing to hire seasonal and summer employees.
