Become part of an exciting new citizen science movement by studying eight plant species on the Phenology Trail at Esopus Meadows Preserve. While enjoying a pleasant hike, we will talk about how to observe seasonal changes in the forest. We also will discuss how you can volunteer and collect data throughout the year and add it to a national database that will help scientists gauge the impacts of a changing climate.
Visit scenichudson.org/phenology for more information about the trail and how you can collect and submit data through a convenient mobile app.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring your smartphone if you want to learn how to collect data via an easy mobile app.
