Spire Parkway Hospital is holding a FREE information evening with Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mr Amit Patel to discuss the latest treatments available for cataracts including information on refractive lens exchange.
The refractive lens exchange procedure is essentially the same as cataract removal and involves exchanging the natural lens in your eye and replacing it with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL) to restore vision. It effectively eliminates the need for distance glasses or contact lenses.
Lens exchange can remove the need for glasses, contact lenses and cataract surgery later in life, and is also suitable for people whose prescription is outside the treatable range of laser eye surgery.
