|Über uns||A City of Tacoma program that works with local organizations to offer eco-friendly cost-savings and empower Lincoln neighbors to improve community health!|
|Mission||To connect an underserved Tacoma community with existing, underutilized resources that promote community health and offer eco-friendly cost-savings|
Beginning October 2015, an outreach team began door-belling in Tacoma's Lincoln neighborhood to share information with residents in the lead up to the City’s Lincoln District Revitalization Project. The program team, including a City staff member and a Lincoln High School student, approached over 1,300 homes for individual knock-and-talk conversations about revitalization project plans as well as cost-saving services available to homes. Beside door-belling, neighborhood engagement included presentations at community meetings and local event planning. Program staff members met regularly with seven different community groups until outreach concluded in June 2017 and also organized several events in the spring of 2016, including a community breakfast, neighborhood walking tour, and family bike ride.
