The age range of the children catered for is 18 months (or from the time the child walks independently and is considered 'ready') to two and a half or three years of age. One parent or carer attends with the child for 2 hours once a week in an environment especially set up to facilitate the child's growing need for independence.

Each session will follow the same format so as to capitalise on the importance of repetition for the young child.
The range of specially designed activities include: language enrichment exercises; exercises to refine eye-hand co-ordination and visual discrimination; practical life exercises; music and instrumental opportunities; individual snack time; group time.
