|Über uns||PHOS Project is one of the selected experiments, which could have the possibility to fly on the REXUS 18 sounding rocket.|
The main aim of this experiment is to characterize the start-up and the stationary operations of a large diameter aluminium PHP operating in milli-g environment by analysing the temporal trend of the local fluid pressure and temperature and the external wall temperature in several locations (evaporator and condenser zones).
Our team wishes to understand firstly if the PHP is successfully operating with a larger diameter in space condition, secondly to compare this experiment results with several experiments made on the same PHP on ground and the PHP162 mounted on the same module, for detecting the flow regimes inside the PHP. Both the experiments will be tested even on ground.
We will test the experiment on board a sounding rocket which will be launched in March/April 2015 from the ESRANGE SPACE CENTER in Kiruna Sweden...
