Use of the School: If you are interested in booking the school for your event our building can hold 60 people. As we are a charitable organization, we suggest a donation of $75 for your use of the building.
History of the School: It was a union school which served the local community in both East and West Luther from 1882 until it was closed in 1964.
In 1964, the local community took the building over as the South Luther Community Centre and used it for a variety of recreational purposes such as family reunions, celebrations, and sporting events.
The interior of the building continues to resemble a one room school house, complete with hardwood floors and blackboards.
In 2004, the building was closed by Wellington North because some repairs were needed to the building.
We re-opened thanks to an Ontario Trillium Grant in 2010.
