Westerra Credit Union

Our credit union was formed by eight school teachers who pooled their funds in 1934 to be able to make loans to other teachers. Westerra is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned and controlled by the members who use its services. Its purpose was to put the members first when offering financial services and treat them as valued owners.

Westerra is here to provide every single person in our community with the knowledge to make sound financial decisions, to dream big about the future, and to provide their family with the ability to lean into life with full confidence. We believe that financial comfort isn’t only for the wealthy, but can be had by everyone.

Westerra Credit Union has a convenient location on Alameda Ave, just west of Wadsworth in Lakewood. The Belmar office offers full-service walk-up ATM service 24 hours a day. We offer a free coin counting machine for credit union members. We are also a CO-OP Shared Branch location. We look forward to serving your banking needs while you are in Lakewood.
