Campsites are serviced by communal ablution facilities. That comprise of separate toilet and shower (hot) facilities. The Windpomp Barnyard restaurant serves hearty meals and cold beverages on tap while sweet treats and memorabilia are for sale at the reception.
1. There are 11 luxury campsites and each campsite has its own kitchenette, shower, toilet, built in BBQ and under-roof porch including 220v electricity. Each kitchenette is furnished with a medium size fridge with a small freezer compartment and a single gas burner for coffee. The luxury campsites will be ready by 01 December 2018 and the capacity limit is 14 people per campsite; however, additional arrangements can be made with management. The rates during high season i.e. 01 December to 31 January is N$230 per adult person per night (including children older than 7 years), whilst children 7 years and younger will be charged N$50. Off season rates areN$170 per adult person and N$40 for children 7 years and younger.
2. There are 20 standard campsites with communal toilets and showers, whilst each campsite has 220v electricity. A maximum of 14 people per campsite is allowed, whilst adults pay N$150 per person per day (including children older than 7 years) and children 7 years and younger pay N$30 during high season. The standard campsites will be discontinued during the early part of the 2019 season and will be replaced by luxury campsites, i.e. a total of 21 luxury campsites will be available during the 2019 high season.
3. Windpomp14 offers solar power electricity to campsites and as a result electricity utilization is managed and each campsite will have approximately 5 amps available, meaning electrical equipment such as kettles, portable stoves and hairdryers can unfortunately not be used at campsites. In addition, electricity at campsites will be switched off at 20:00 at night and switched on at 7:30. in the morning. Guests need to cater for light etc. during these periods. Only the luxury campsit
