THE NATIONAL NATURE PARK « THE KREMENETS MOUNTAINS»
The National Nature Park “Kremenetsky Gory” (The Kremenets Mountains National Nature Park) is the Ukrainian National Nature Park that was founded in nowadays. The park is located in Ternopil region (Western Ukraine). The newly created National park comes under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service. The park's central feature is the Kremenets Mountains. The park covers 6951,2...ha. (69512000 sq.m.) of unincorporated area in Kremenets and Shumsk districts. The Kremenets Mountains Nature National Park was named an official national park in 2009. but the landmark had been well known to public for many years prior. The Kremenets Mountains NNP is recognized for its spectacular cliffs, caves, clear springs, deciduous and coniferous woods, biological diversity, historic and religious heritage. Almost 90% of the park is designated wilderness. The National park is open year-round for visitors. Open-air tours around the NNP are available. Many people enjoy short walks and longer hikes to the Mountain Unias. the God's Mount, the Girls'Rocks and etc.
