To empower physically impaired, disabled and underprivileged people through developmental initiatives focusing on educational, social, economic, cultural and technological aspects. Our mission is to mobilize and motivate non-school going DIVYANGS, between the ages of 6 and 18, from economically and socially backward rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, and put them firmly on the track of literacy through quality primary education. AATMBODH- DIVYANG JAN SASHAKTIKARAN AWAM SWAROJGAR SANSTHAN(A-DJSSS is an initiative of a DIVYANG person who have experienced himself all the difficulties in the way of DIVYANG . I want to built An inclusive society free from discrimination where persons with disabilities become contributing members, living with dignity and respect.
VISION
The vision of AATMBODH SANSTHAN is to transform the lives of DIVYANG JAN, families and entire communities in Uttar Pradesh by providing them basic primary education (6-14 years)and employment(18 and above) as per their capabilities in the AATMBODH SANSTHAN and fulfilling their day-to-day requirements. .

We are a group of 10 especially abled people and a normal leady working as a group registered under societies registration act 1860(21) named Aatmbodh Sansthan.
Aatmbodh Sansthan is a not-for-profit organization working in India for last one year, focusing on social injustice of Disabled people. We do this through well planned and comprehensive projects in health, education, livelihoods and disaster preparedness and response. Our overall goal is the empowerment of specially abled People,women and girls from poor and marginalised communities leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods. During FY 2016-17, Aatmbodh Sansthan directly reached out to 5200 people through 3 projects across 6 District of Uttar Praddesh India, covering more than 300 Villages.
WHY DISABLED WOMEN AND CHILDREN?
Aatmbodh Sansthan focuses on the empowerment of Specially Abled People, women and girls because they are disproportionately affected by poverty and discrimination; and suffers abuse and violations in the realisation of their rights, entitlements and access and control over resources. Also, experience shows that, when equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities overcome poverty, marginalisation and social injustice.

Aatmbodh Sansthan has made a considerable shift in its programming approach over past few months. From direct service provision to enabling poor and vulnerable groups, Aatmbodh Sansthan has evolved into a rights-based organisation in order to address underlying causes of poverty
