Beaver Scouts is for children aged 6 - 8 years old.
Please contact us if your child is interested in joining. We look forward to hearing from you.
Beavers is the first stage of Scouting providing fun, educational activities both at our weekly meetings and occasional off site events including sleepovers and day visits to Cub and Scout camps. We are very lucky to have a great site in Dartmouth and, weather permitting, we spend as much of the sessions outside as possible.
During their two years at Beavers, children work towards earning badges in a wide variety of activities and challenges. The requirements for the badges are designed to encourage the Beavers to believe in themselves, respect and learn about the world around them, learn important life skills and try new things.
Beavers promise to do their best to be kind and helpful and their motto is to Be Prepared.
If your child would like to join our colony, please do get in contact. Our colony size fluctuates as the Beavers move on to Cubs so we sometimes have to operate a waiting list. Numbers permitting, we take new Beavers on at the start of the term after their 6th birthday.
