Mission Moto - The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness

Engage:

* Providing opportunities for children and young people to meet together in their communities and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities

* Empowering children and young people by involving them in decision making at all levels of the BB and giving responsibility appropriate to their age and aptitude

*Enabling children and young people to engage with the needs of others (especially other young people) locally, nationally and globally and encouraging them to participate in activities and projects in which they can make a difference.

Partner:

* Working in partnership with churches to encourage the development of a personal Christian faith

^Finding partnerships within communities to meet the needs of children and young people

*Creating opportunities to develop partnerships with other appropriate organisations and agencies

Support:

* Being responsive to the needs and aspirations of all children and young people regardless of differing abilities, identities, backgrounds, gender or culture and providing appropriate support, advice and guidance

* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people through the implementation of robust procedures in the selection, development and supervision of leaders

* Providing high quality training and resources for leaders, and providing a network of professional staff to support and equip voluntary leaders for the task
Description The 3rd Dunfermline Boys' Brigade meets on Wednesday nights during school term time.
Anchors are P1 (Must be age 5) to P3: 6.15-7.30 and Juniors are P4 - P6 and meet at Pitreavie Primary School Gym Hall.
Company and Senior Sections are from P7 upwards to 18 meet at St Leonard's Church from 7.15 - 9.45.

What is Anchors?
Anchors is the programme for those aged between 5 and 8.

What areas does Anchors cover?
Anchor Boys have lots of fun doing different activities which include making things, crafts, music, games, sports, stories going on visits, making friends, and working towards their badges.

All of this is done as part of a balanced programme that is separated into 5 different zones

Body- fit for fun
Mind - think and do
Spirit - God and me
Community - me and my world
Creativity - make and do

Junior Section

What is Juniors?
Juniors is the programme for those aged between 8 and 11.

What areas does Juniors cover?
Juniors have fun! Their meetings are full of challenges, games and activities, usually ones that they have suggested themselves. There are hundreds of activities catering for just about every possible interest of a member and at the same time encouraging them to explore other new activities and occupations. There is certainly plenty of variety and little chance of becoming bored!

The award programme is specifically designed to encourage a child to look beyond themselves. Many are interested in one type of activity - perhaps sports, or natural history. Our special programme provides such interest and at the same time gently urges them to try others of a different type. This provides a balanced all round programme - which includes spiritual and social input, as well as physical and adventure activities in 5 different programme zones . . .
