Mission Our mission is to provide out‐of‐ school youth in Winnebago County, with the broadest range of tools, supports and opportunities available to become self-sufficient, responsible and productive citizens in their community.
Description Participation in the YouthBuild Oshkosh program provides youth with: paid work experience on the job training and certifications to build a new construction home (HBI-PACT, CPR, OSHA, First Aid), opportunity to earn a GED/HSED and post-secondary education exploration, work readiness and practical life skills as well as supportive services, career exploration, leadership development, and volunteer opportunities, assistance in overcoming personal barriers to success, mentorship, and goal setting, guidance, support, and case management from qualified staff as well as community referrals, and an
opportunity to earn an AmeriCorps Education Award and Scholarship.
Founded ADVOCAP was founded in 1966 in Fond du Lac, WI. The YouthBuild Oshkosh program began in Oshkosh, WI in October of 2015.
