AEROSPACE MALAYSIA INNOVATION CENTRE (AMIC) was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, on 16th May 2011 under the company Act 1956. During the Malaysia Aerospace Council (MAC) meeting on December 1, 2010 chaired by YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia has agreed to establish the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC) as an industry led innovation centre to enhance Malaysia’s aerospace industry competitiveness.
Our core business is undertaking collaborative research and technology project in collaboration with the industries and the universities in aerospace sector. Research projects will be spearheaded by founding lead members namely EADS, Rolls Royce and CTRM. All research works will be drived, evaluated, and managed by prominent industry experts.
Initially three research focus areas have been identified such as jet fuel production from microalgae, innovative manufacturing of aerospace composite structures and advanced new green materials for aerospace.
