About Launched in 1993 as the Alberta Electric League, the association operated in two divisions — the CEC and the Capital Region Electric Club. In 2017, the clubs joined forces to become the Alberta Electrical Association.

For 24 years, our membership has grown and developed to include electricians, contractors, engineers, maintenance professionals, government agencies, manufacturers, electrical suppliers, utility companies and students.
