The Center for International Student Engagement (CISE) is a space to build community, unpack global experiences, find support, and feel at home. Swing by!
The mission of the CISE is to create space for international students to engage with Amherst College and with each other in fun, intersectional, and holistic ways. Working in collaboration with other resource centers and campus partners, the CISE aims to guide students as they learn about and question themselves, their environments, and how these interact in local and global contexts. In supporting international students, the CISE also assists in the navigation of immigration regulations related to study in the US, and maintains’ F-1 and J-1 visa holders' immigration records.
On a campus community scale, the CISE works to anchor global realities more deeply throughout the college by seeking opportunities to engage all members—students, staff, and faculty—in internationalizing and decolonizing campus spaces.
