My name is Sam and many of you might know me as being your guide during your trip to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.
In a few words about myself,
I was born in 1986 after Khmer Rouge in a warm family with 12 siblings for which 7 we lost during the unsettled times that Cambodian people passed thru. My dad unfortunately died when I was very young and only my mom struggled to take care of us. As times were harsh after the Khmer Rouge and there were not many opportunities for kids to go to school, I had to walk everyday 15km to the nearest village were I could get some education. I always loved to learn new things and had the strong will to finish school although many other kids gave up their education to work on their families farms. Despite all the difficulties that we as a family had to pass thru, I thrived and had the determination to continue my studies and be able to create a better life for my family. Therefore, after graduating from high school I enrolled into university and 4 years long I was working hard during the day and studying during the night.
Our mission is to help neglected schools receive the critical support they need by constantly assessing the needs of attending children and full filling those needs to the best extent possible.
We believe that by giving children the tools they need to receive a better education, and by ensuring they receive nutritious meals and clean water each day, we can make an impact in their lives and on the future of Cambodia
