Mission We are proud announce that the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is launching a new undergraduate program in Applied Anthropology starting in October 2019. It is offered in English and it is open to students from all over the world who are active in social and intercultural space. At the center of the three year program are two thematic areas: ‘intercultural brokering’ and ‘intercultural management’. The program prepares the students for leading positions in international aid, intercultural education, health care and management, for working in various governmental institutions, for profit and non-profit sectors.

The students receive high-quality interdisciplinary training to understand how to apply the idea of good life to the organization of social life respecting the fundamental human rights and peoples’ rights to address the challenges of humanitarian aid in intercultural contexts. Students will acquire flexible attitudes based on social and intercultural competences adapting them to changing, sometimes difficult to predict, requirements and working conditions.

The core of the holistic and highly interdisciplinary program integrates anthropologies (physical, linguistic, social, cultural) as well as combines archeology and philosophical anthropology rooted in the tradition of personalism and Christianity. Students of Applied Anthropology perform internships and practices (Polish and international) in cooperation with the Governmental Department for Humanitarian Aid, numerous non-governmental institutions engaged in international charity, as well as business organizations.

The best possible standards in teaching are offered by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin with its unique didactics: Students are approached individually and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the Faculty, the classes are purposely kept small, and the ratio of professors to student is one of the best in Poland.
