Ashtanga Yoga is the system of yoga preserved and transmitted by its great exponent, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. It is designed to purify the body and still the mind.
We are creating a school to maintain the authenticity and integrity of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition for the purpose of fostering the spiritual growth of our community.
Ashtanga Yoga Boston offers a traditional morning Mysore program, in which our community members come in to practice according to the individual's needs during our class times. These classes do not accommodate drop ins, unless she or he has an established Mysore style practice elsewhere. Early morning program hours will always be early (currently 5:30 am mon-thurs through 8:30 am). Late morning practice begins at 10:30 am mon-thurs as agreed with instructor). Friday led class times are 6am and 7:30am.
