Christopher P. DePhillips grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey, and has been a resident of Wyckoff for the past 15 years. He has been married to Patricia Reynolds-DePhillips for 21 years, and they are the parents of 4 children.
Chris is an Attorney and has practiced law for the past 24 years. He is a 1987 graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. From 1987 to 1989, he served as a Legislative Assistant and Assistant Press Secretary to Republican U.S. Rep. Marge Roukema in Washington, D.C.
He graduated from the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, N.J. in 1992. He is a Member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, an invitation-only legal defense organization.
Chris was elected to the Wyckoff Township Committee in November 2009 and served until January 1, 2013. He served as Deputy Mayor of the Township in 2011, and Mayor of the Township in 2012. He has been a Commissioner of the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority since April 2012. He served as a member of the Wyckoff Environmental Commission from January 1, 2013 through January 1, 2017.
Chris was elected to represent the 40th legislative district as a member of the the New Jersey General Assembly on Tuesday, November 7th, along with his running mates, and will be sworn into office on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018.
