The 2017 brief is designed to encourage entrants from all disciplines to enter including those with a marketing and communications background
Describe, in no more than 1,000 words an idea or innovation that would improve the UK automotive business. The idea should fall into one of four categories; Mobility, Connectivity, Sustainability, Customer Experience, or Marketing & Communications and it could work in any area of the automotive business – from concept through to the sales showroom, car ownership and the aftermarket. You will need to demonstrate how your idea could be put into action and the advantages it would bring.

The Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award is a national competition to identify, support and develop top automotive talent of the future in which entrants are invited to answer a brief set by Autocar's Editor-in-chief, Steve Cropley. The winner will receive a £9,000 cash prize plus one month's work experience at each of the partners supporting the award.
This year the awards programme has been opened up to anyone aged between 17-25 years so long as they reside in the UK or are currently study at a UK school, college or university. All entrants must be eligible to work in the UK and be available for work experience.
