Mission The 724th Air Mobility Squadron enables rapid and decisive global air mobility in a joint and combined operating environment.
Description There has been a documented Mobility Air Forces presence at Aviano AB since 1955. The 724th Air Mobility Squadron originated in the 1970's as Detachment 1, 435th Tactical Airlift Group, followed in the 1980s by Det. 5, 332d Airlift Division, 625th Airlift Support Group. In the 1990's, Air Mobility Command, created Det. 3, 621st Air Mobility Support Group, and in 2001, the 621st Air Mobility Support Group became the 721st Air Mobility Operations Group. Det. 3 was deactivated on March 1, 2005 and on this date, the 724th Air Mobility Squadron was activated.

How to sign up for Space-A travel:
1. Fax request = 410-918-6932
2. Email request to = avianospacea@us.af.mil
FB is NOT an authorized avenue to sign up for travel. Please do not send your sign up info as a Private Message to our FB box. Please use the email address above
3. Walk in = sign up in person

When signing up for Space-A travel, please include the following:
1. Names for all travelers (e.g. sponsor and dependents)
2. Rank (or "dependent" if traveling without sponsor) and Sponsor Service
3. Travel Category (e.g. CAT-III, CAT-V etc...)
4. Leave start and end dates (active duty only)
5. Number of seats required
6. List of "up to" five desired "country" destinations (e.g. USA).
7. Station of assignment (the local area where their leave officially starts/ends) or state/country of residence

9. Should your ultimate destination include an OCONUS travel restricted destination, please check the Foreign Country Clearance Guide for guidance, i.e. Country Clearance and Visas
