|About||Bay Area Soccer Association offers recreational and travel soccer programs for kids 4-18. Games are played at our beautiful complex in Monitor Township.|
|Mission||The Bay Area Soccer Association (BASA) was established to offer recreational soccer with the intent to organize a large number of teams for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 18. The emphasis of BASA is the development of soccer skills and increased soccer competency with age, the fostering of good sportsmanship and teamwork among players, and to encourage parent and community involvement to achieve these goals. BASA's intent is to raise the caliber of the play in Bay County, to be competitive with the other Mid-Michigan teams, and allow our players to strive for even higher levels of skill if they desire. BASA provides the community a soccer skill growth program to compliment the existing public and parochial school programs.|
The Bay Area Soccer Association offers both recreational and travel (Select/Premier) programs for kids, ages 4-18.
For kids that are just learning how to play soccer or who are looking for a fun, laid-back environment, the recreational program is a great choice. At this level there are teams for 4 - 14 year olds. The focus is on developing the players while they play with friends and classmates, and is more about learning, improving and having fun, over winning.
Our travel programs are for the players who are looking to take their skills to the next level of competition. Here the focus is on developing the players to play in more advanced competition. These teams will play in a league with clubs from other cities and compete in tournaments as well. Our travel players will play around half of their league games at our own complex and the others at various clubs around the state. Most games are usually within an hour or so from Bay City.
