Mission Our mission, through Festival Latino, is to represent, advocate, and educate those around us about the cultures that make up the Pan-American movement. The beautiful roots, traditions, and cultures of each country will be honored and preserved throughout the evening.
Description The event itself is our response to the on-going scandals that Baylor has experienced - this includes the Kappa Sigma party. The way in which we are choosing to address this is by putting together an event that will create an immersive experience through food, live entertainment, games, a soccer tournament, and educational booths. The booths will represent cultures from North to South America. This is all in an effort to cultivate sensitivity and understanding to what is meaningful and beautiful about each culture as well as educating on what each culture has contributed to our world.

The event is set to create and provide scholarships as well as extend internship opportunities to Pan-American minorities so their potential does not remain untapped. Each year the event will have a changing theme. This year's theme is "The Pan-American World". We will focus on the cultures by geographical region. Themes for other years will include: "Pan-American Fashion", "Pan-American Food", "Pan-American Inventions", etc. so that we may all learn together about each other - after all, we are all neighbors!
