The Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center offers a number of programs to increase the learning, employment, and career opportunities in technology-related fields. The BHTYC offers:
-- An alternative high-tech high school operated by the Los Angeles County Office of Education
-- State-of-the-art Recording and Video Studio supported by entertainment industry experts
-- Technology-related classes in web-design, computer applications, graphics, and multi-media programs
-- College Upward Bound program and College Corner.
Promising Effective Practices Network (PEPNET) Award-Awarded by the National Youth Employment Coalition-An organization that sets and promotes quality standards for national youth programs.
National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC)-LAYOM recognized for excellent techniques in servicing out of school population
Awarded the California Council for Excellence 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010 California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE)
Awarded the United States Department of Labor’s 2004 Excellence Award for serving out-of-school youth.
