About I love to turn something old into something new. Or take a piece of "trash" off the ground and spend a few hrs with it and turn it into someones treasure.

Description So why the name?
One of my first memories was of me in second grade. It was cold out and a boy asked me why I did not have a jacket on. I knew it was because I did not own one. But I would not let him know that. I just told him that I was not cold. I decided I was tougher than the cold, that it would not win, that I would not shiver or have goose bumps and I was not cold. That is how I survived. My mom was an alcoholic. She was divorced five times and had men over all the time. She did not watch me or my brothers and sisters. You can imagine the results. Add to that we moved whenever we could not pay the bills. I remember first being involved in drinking and getting high in the second grade. On top of that I was severely dyslexic. I passed the sixth grade with straight F’s. I remember hearing that none of the teachers wanted me anymore. They called it a social promotion. I was mean. My little sisters called me the evil one. I had no joy, no hope. Life was bad with my mom and her last husband so I moved out in the ninth grade. I moved in with one of my brothers, but I made too many bad choices to keep living there so I had to move on. When I was in the eleventh grade I moved in with another alcoholic family that was friends with my mom. Strangely enough that is when life finally got good for me. I met some friends that love Jesus. They did not preach to me. They just had joy and peace, something I had never seen. I went home that night, and I prayed. “God, I do not know what they have but whatever it is I want it!” He gave it to me! I still lived with an alcoholic family. I was still bad in school. I still had problems. But he took my broken heart and started to heal it! He made new! I had His peace! It has been an amazing journey. That was over 30 years ago. I could write a book on all he has done. I have four amazing kids. The oldest is writer and photographer. She is working towards stopping human trafficking.
