After having my baby in June 2016 I realised just how important staying fit was to my pregnancy, labour and postnatal recovery. I also realise how difficult it can be to find time for exercise or for yourself. That is why I offer a wide variety of options including 1 to 1, small group and large group training, at home or outside. No pressure to find childcare for any activities, babies and any older children are welcome and I will do my best to keep everyone active and entertained! We will work on cardiovascular fitness, strength alongside the foundations of a strong core and pelvic floor.
Pregnant ladies, I know how overwhelming the advice can be, but I hope I can give you the confidence to exercise safely during your pregnancy and lay the foundations for a healthy mum and baby going forwards. Every pregnancy is different, so I recommend personal sessions, these can just be 30 minutes long (trust me I remember how tiring it is!) and will enable you to remain as active as possible and prepare your body for the demands of carrying your baby, labour and hopefully chasing around after them later!
I have a degree in Exercise Science (Health and Rehabilitation), am a qualified personal trainer, sports massage therapist and also hold specialist qualifications in ante and postnatal exercise, pregnancy massage and obesity and diabetes. And on a more personal note, I am a runner, a swimmer and a gym goer, I was throughout my pregnancy and as soon as I had my 6 week check I was again. Gym workouts might have to be living room workouts now and runs often with the buggy. But I can honestly say that exercise helped my pregnancy, labour and post natal recovery, both mentally and physically. If I can do it then so can you :)
