|About||A monthly lecture series which aims to provide a friendly informal space for Jung's ideas and philosophy to reach a wider public.|
Since the early eighties, the C.G. Jung Public Lectures have played an important part in establishing and maintaining Bristol's reputation as an acknowledged centre of interest in Depth Psychology.
The monthly lectures are on current issues and topics in the field of analytical psychology and are given by a variety of professional and established speakers. They are open to everybody with an interest in depth psychology, the therapies, philosophy, religion, mythology, and the arts.
The aim is to provide a friendly informal space for Jung's ideas and philosophy to reach a wider public. There is time for refreshment, socialising, and networking after the lecture followed by participative discussion with the speaker in the round.
The Public Lectures are open to anyone with an interest in depth psychology and aim to make the original ideas of Jung more widely accessible and to provide a friendly and informal forum for the ongoing development of Analytical Psychology.
The organising committee needs and encourages the support of interested individuals who wish to play an active part in shaping the future of this lecture series. Attending the lectures is an important first step in this direction.
The attendance fee is currently £12 with a concessionary rate of £8. Because very few members derived advantage from it, the committee decided not to continue the special members' rate associated with an annual subscription. Anyone who comes to a lecture is welcomed as a member, indeed the group relies on the help and inspiration of all its members.
