|About||Carroll County Community of Concern is a non profit food pantry in Carroll County IA. We have proudly been serving Carroll County residents for 36 years.|
Thanks to the generosity of the Carroll County community, we have been able to serve residents who are in need of food since 1981. We relocated to 322 W. 3rd St in Carroll at the end of 2015. Last year, Community of Concern provided food and emergency non-food items to 860 families, totaling over 2300 people. Each cart of food ranges in value from $259-$300. Recently, we received additional grant money which allowed us to purchase several new freezers. We are thankful to the community of Carroll for continuing to support and donate to the food pantry through food drives, fundraisers, and volunteerism.
Our food pantry is run by one paid employee and several dedicated volunteers. Our director, Roxie Reinart, is dedicated to meeting the needs of Carroll County residents. The Board of Directors works hard to apply for grants and seek out local partnerships in order to keep the food pantry fully stocked in order to never turn away someone who is hungry and in need of food.
