|About||CAP provides high risk and/or court-involved adolescents with a combination of case management and community-based rehabilitative services.|
|Mission||Provide case management services to at-risk juveniles ages 12-18 years old. Provide psychoeducational groups which include Positive decision making, anger management, coping skills, job skills, life skills, healthy choices and conflict resolution skills.|
The Comprehensive Adolescent Program is located in both Sussex and Morris County. CAP of Sussex was developed as a joint endeavor between the Center for Evaluation and Counseling, Inc. (CEC) and the Sussex County Youth Services Commission (SCYSC) and CAP of Morris between the Center for Evaluation and Counseling, Inc. (CEC) and the Morris County Department of Human Services (MCDHS). With grant funding provided by the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC), CAP offers community-based psycho-educational services to juveniles and their families involved with the Superior Court, Family Division or high risk adolescents in need of preventative services.
High risk and/or court-involved juveniles both male and female, ages 12-18 in Morris County.
Referrals to CAP are made by:
• Superior. Court, Family Division
• Department of Probation
• Juvenile Conference Committee (JCC)
• Intake Service Conference (ISC)
• Schools of Morris and Sussex
• And other service providers
CAP Coordinator will contact the family of the juvenile to schedule an intake appointment within 72 hours of receipt of referral.
CAP Key Components
Maintains regular contact with system providers involved with CAP participants in order to maximize the clients’ potential to succeed, and provides linkage with other community services as needed

Positive Decision Making
Parent Participation is mandatory. Parents are required to have weekly contact with the juvenile’s primary CAP Case Manager.
