Mission Its mission, to come up with initiatives, programs and research that helps conserve and maintain the natural resources and environments of our planet.
To help create awareness about the importance environmental protection, through the development and introduction of strategic educational programs to schools and visitors related to the investigations and research held by researchers at the refuge, enabling general and specific education to the country and its future generations, placing emphasis on the conservation of the countries and planets natural environments and resources.
Description The Cerro Dantas Wildlife Refuge is located close to the city of Heredia, Approximately 20 kilometers NE of the Nacional University and located at the SW borders of the Braulio Carrillo National Park. With 57 hectars, the refuge has primarily secondary and primary cloud forests, with the topographical area consisting of hills and cliffs with various trails in which you can come and appreciate the diverse types of trees, orchids, birds, springs and waterfalls.
