The Chance Foundation was formed five years ago when a group of childhood friends decided at their annual holiday dinner that they wanted to give back to their hometown. It was then that these friends agreed to each contribute time and money to help deserving families from their community have the chance to experience the holiday season in the way they enjoyed the holidays as youths. They decided to call this drive “Hope for the Holidays”. Over time, the friends have come to witness firsthand the impact their philanthropy has had on people’s lives and have been inspired to expand the reach of the charity.
In December of 2009, the Chance Foundation, Inc., became a 501(c)3, non-profit public charity. The Foundation has been able to help many families over the last few years by providing both gifts to children and basic necessities to their families such as food and clothing. The Foundation looks to continue its development with new programs aimed at other groups in need in our local communities.

|Mission||The Foundation was created to give a chance to those in need by providing financial, social, and emotional support to children and families from the local communities in which we live.|
Hope for the Holidays
The Hope for the Holidays program has been the original goal of the Foundation and one of which we are very proud. Working with local area school districts to identify under-privileged families, the program is designed to give families the chance to experience the holidays in a manner in which they would not otherwise be able to enjoy on their own. The Foundation’s “Hope for the Holidays” drive not only provides financial support by purchasing necessary items like food and clothing, the program also helps spread the joy of the holidays by distributing gifts to the youngest members of our communities who might not otherwise experience such opportunities.
Honor our Heroes
This program was created to assist families in uniform, including families of military personnel returning home from long deployments at war, as well as uniformed officers (police, fire, etc.) that have experienced life hardships during the time they were serving their communities and nation. This program provides needed financial assistance as well as support for any social or emotional distress that these hardworking individuals and their families may be experiencing.
