I started off as a research law clerk at the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office and spent a year there honing my legal skills. From there, I moved on to serve as a senior attorney general for three years at the Florida Department of Legal Affairs. After my time there came to an end in 1994, I joined my father's practice, which centered around estate planning and trusts.
It's a real privilege when a son can say he had his father as a mentor, and I'm blessed to be able to say this was the case for me. Through his leadership, guidance, and example, I discovered what values I wanted to place in the center of my own practice and made the decision to strike out on my own.
