Fun play sessions for children 3 years and under with parent/carers.
Fridays during term time from 9:45-11:30 in the Woodway Room at Chudleigh Town Hall.
This non-profit group is run on a purely voluntary basis by local parents/carers and relies on the support of the people who attend to keep the group running.
The fee is £2 per child per session (if you have more than one child, each extra child is 50p per session) This money goes towards: cost of hall hire, insurance, refreshments, art&craft items and toys. Where the child is under 1 year and does not have snacks the fee is reduced to £1.50.
We aim to offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where our children can enjoy playing and exploring together. We have a variety of toys and books for the children to enjoy, plus a separate area for parents with younger babies.
Every week we offer a fun art&craft activity for the children, which is always popular. We also enjoy the support of the Children Centre, who pop in and organise an activity for the children once per month.
At approx. 11 am the children sit down together at the table and enjoy a drink and selection of snacks. The cheddar cheese and strawberries are firm favourites and always disappear quickly!
Parents/Carers are able to help themselves to tea/coffee in the kitchen throughout the session. We also have a baking rota and encourage people to bring home made cakes. The provision of cakes has been very popular at the group and the money raised (30-50p per slice) provides valuable funds for the group.
Please note: It is important that parents/carers take responsibility for the child(ren) they bring along to our sessions. You must be prepared to keep a watchful eye on your child(ren) to prevent accidents happening.
