Climate Action, in partnership with UNEP, establishes partnerships between business, governments and public bodies to accelerate the green economy.
We believe, for sustainable development to truly make an impact at both grassroots and at global level, governments, public institutions and international business should work in strategic, productive and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Business is able to assist governments and the wider public sector by providing innovation, new technologies, investment, research & development.
Governments and the wider public sector are uniquely able to provide the policy, the regulatory framework, infrastructure and economic platform that are all essential if sustainable business and the global green economy is to flourish.
Climate Action was specifically established to promote these partnerships because only doing so can solutions be found for the many challenges facing the world’s population and environment.
Our ongoing research programme continually assesses and evaluates what works and what is needed to engage business, governments and public institutions, and has helped us design and tailor a programme of activity that brings real sustainable value to all corners of the debate.
Established in 2007 and headquartered in London, UK, Climate Action has, for the last six years, worked in a unique, contractual partnership with the UN Environment - the world’s foremost body on environmental protection and stewardship.
