|About||The Coexist Community Kitchen has been set up to share knowledge and skills around food and cooking with you and others in the local community!|
The Coexist Community Kitchen is registered with the local authority with a food hygiene rating of 5 and has been set up to share knowledge and skills around food and cooking with the local community.
We provide a space for small start up businesses, organisations and individuals, who wish to cater for events, run workshops or develop their food business whilst enjoying one of Coexist’s beautiful community resources. Thanks to grants and partner organisations we continue to run a number of non-profit cookery courses on basic cookery skills, nutrition and food activities.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, 4 induction hobs, 6 hob gas range and convection oven as well as 4 fan ovens for all your pie in sky desires!
By engaging people through a community kitchen this space is providing education facilities, advice on health and nutrition, opportunities for exchange through communal cooking events and potluck dinners, and a start-up facility to incubate small food businesses that as yet are unable to afford their own kitchens.
For the local community this project represents more than just a physical kitchen. The creation of the kitchen is being driven by the needs of the community who are requesting a space where they can come together and celebrate the creation of good, local food that nourishes our bodies, our relationships and our connections to each other.
