What is cold-pressed Dog Food?
Firstly it has to be explained that normal (extruded) dry dog food is processed at a temperature well in excess of 100 Degrees celsius (boiling point). This means that much of the essential nutrient and vitamin content is badly effected - especially the essential natural oils and fats which are so important for dog health.
This dangerous degradation does not occur with cold-pressed 'Gentle' dog food and furthermore, 'Gentle' cold-pressed pellets are heavier than water and break down slowly from the outside when in the dog's stomach. This means that the natural nutrients are released evenly, thus ensuring that the risk of bloat (Gastric Dilation-volvulus syndrome) is drastically reduced.
