Mission Our Mission Statement:
“The College is committed to ensuring that the people of Ontario receive respectful, effective, high quality audiology and speech-language pathology services provided by competent self-regulated practitioners.”
Description The College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO) is one of 26 self-governing health Colleges in the province of Ontario established by law.

The role and authority of the College is set out in the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA), the Health Professions Procedural Code, the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Act, 1991 (ASLPA), and the regulation, made under these Acts along with the policies and by-laws of the College.

To Protect the Public, the College:

- Sets the education and other qualifications necessary to enter the professions;

- Administers quality assurance programs that members are required to participate in to help maintain their competence;

- Develops professional and ethical standards and guidelines;

- Provides complaint and discipline processes for people who feel that the standards have not been met.

Patients/clients must be able to put their trust in those who treat them.

The College is dedicated to supporting its over 4,000 audiologists and speech-language pathologist members in their delivery of high-quality ethical care.
