This is a Union made up of heavy equipment operators with the common goal of being represented by a union. The Operating Engineers have locals across the United States and Canada|
The Colorado Journeyman Apprenticeship is a 3 year program that enables you to acquire the training, classes, certifications and skills while working on-job in the trade. You will improve your operating skills as you work towards your goal of becoming a Journeyman. When you become an Apprentice, you also become a member of the Union with representation and benefits of the Colorado Journeymen. All apprentices will be registered with the US. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship and Training (OAT).
Age: Minimum of 18 years
Education: High School Graduate or
GED or Equivalent or Higher Education
Physical: Must be physically able to perform work of the Trade
Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License
Must have completed OHSA 10 Construction Safety training and obtain a card
Must have a clean MVR
Must be willing and able to travel the entire state of Colorado
Must complete the entire application provided at the Training Center and provide proof the above qualifications.
