|About||Helping women rebuild their lives, and their confidence, after cancer treatment.|
Inspiring healthy minds and healthy bodies
Gabby Mottershead was 44 when she was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2008.
Following chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiotherapy and DIEP flap reconstruction, Gabby has connected with some amazing people and organisations that can help women rebuild their lives.
It is shocking to learn that breast cancer survivors are 37 percent more likely to commit suicide than other women, and the elevated risk persists for at least 25 years after diagnosis, according to a report in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Cancer is an illness of transformation. Biologically, it represents a change in growth and homeostasis. Metaphorically, a cancer diagnosis can transform how you see yourself and the way you experience life afterward. Even after successful treatment, patients live with continual uncertainty, leaving them in a limbo called NED ( no evidence of disease ) because confirming 'cure' is difficult
Gabby felt compelled to do something to help women after treatment finishes, following a successful corporate career, she now feels passionately about helping others. A qualified NLP practitioner and Reiki healer, Gabby is on a mission to guide and help others to rebuild their lives.
