There is nowhere else in Argyll & Bute I'd want to represent than Lomond North. This is my home, where I was born, and grew up. My family have farmed around Arrochar for many years, and it's where my wife and I chose to live and raise our family, and establish a business that provides outdoor activity opportunities for people with learning difficulties / mental health issues.
It's because of my strong local roots, and commitment to Lomond North that I want to be your SNP candidate in May.
It's important to put something back into my community that's why for eight years I served as a retained fire fighter, and still volunteer with the Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team.
With business, and emergency rescue experience, I know about making the right decision under pressure, working quickly and efficiently with my colleagues, while remaining mindful of the feelings and sensitivities of others; skills I believe will stand me in good stead in the council chamber.
I have always been a believer in the SNP , and independence. I have canvassed and leafleted for the party at the referendum and in all recent elections.
Brendan O'Hara election celebrationAs your local candidate I will work with you to get an SNP voice here in Lomond North as a councillor I will work tirelessly for the empowerment of our community across Argyll & Bute.
"In every community there is work to be done. In every nation there are wounds to heal. In every heart there is the power to do it. "
Yours, Iain Shonny Paterson.
