|About||Therapeutic and remedial massage, tailored to your individual requirements and preferences in order to ease aches and pains and relax body and mind.|
Massage has been used therapeutically for thousands of years across the world, and it’s benefits in enhancing health and wellbeing are widely acknowledged. Therapeutic massage not only has the potential to promote relaxation and stress reduction, but by treating the body and mind as a whole can support health and wellbeing through stimulating other body systems. The benefits of massage include:
- Reduced pain and fatigue
- Reduced muscle tension
- Stress relief
- Reduced anxiety
- Improved circulation
- Enhanced lymphatic drainage
The modern world in which we live can be relentless and massage therapy can provide the opportunity to relax and revive; I believe an hour on a massage table can brush away week’s worth of stress and tension.
I trained with as a massage therapist, completing the APNT accredited Complete Body Worker Diploma, including Anatomy and Physiology and Swedish Massage at the Exeter School of Bodywork. I can provide adults of all ages and backgrounds with therapeutic massages tailored to their individual requirements. I am insured and a member of the Association of Physical and Natural therapists. My interest in developing further massage qualifications is ongoing and I will be completing training in October to deliver deep tissue massage. At the time of my training, I was pregnant and as such I am interested in promoting maternal health and wellbeing throughout pregnancy and beyond.
My background working as an occupational therapist helps me to understand and enhance health and wellbeing through massage and I always provide aftercare advise to help maintain the benefits of massage between treatments.
I am able to provide therapeutic treatments tailored to your needs in the comfort of your own home to promote maximum relaxation.
