Desert AIDS Project adheres to strict policies and procedures related to the review of patient needs, eligibility under grant-funded programs, and insurance coverage. We comply with all federal, state, and other insurance program guidelines regarding the documentation of care and related regulations for the billing of services provided. All health care services provided are documented at the time of service and all services billed to Medicare, MediCal, MISP, and other insurances are billed based on provider-signed documentation for the care provided. Desert AIDS Project is regularly audited by federal, state, and county agencies for compliance with laws, regulations, documentation of services provided and for client eligibility for programs funded by grants, Medicare, MediCal, and other funding sources.
