Dewberry Lotion is an all-natural lotion that is certified gluten free, paraben-free, frangrance-free, and free from damaging mineral oil. The lotion moisturizes without using SD Alcohol or FD&C colors. Rich in Vitamin E and gentle enough for all skin types, it is hypoallergenic and does not contain animal products nor is tested on animals. The packaging is made of recyclable material and is biodegradable. Dewberry Lotion can be used on women and men, and is gentle enough for baby use.
Linda Collinson was a spearhead in the natural products movement; she created Dewberry in the 1980s because no products were conveniently available to her that were natural and free of harsh chemicals, perfumes, and dyes that irritated her skin. Most of the lotions that saturated the market at that time and today contain mineral oil, which actually clogs pours. Not long after creating Dewberry Lotion for her own use, neighbors, family and friends kept asking for the product. Collinson had decided to start bottling her secret formula and, within the year, Dewberry Lotion and her entire product line were being sold in stores nationwide.
Collinson’s success left little time for her home life and young children, so she sold the company's name, La’Crista, to be with her children during their most formative years. However, Collinson kept her skin care formulas a secret. Now that her children are adults, she has begun to product her famous, all-natural skin care line under the parent company of Infusion Sciences. The skin care line is being recreated with Collinson’s original formulas that have been kept a secret for years, and it is the first time in over a decade they have hit the market again.
Once sold in stores across the country like Giant Foods, Fresh Fields now known as Whole Foods and even in China Mrs. Collinson hopes to distribute the natural products to a mass market once again.
