|About||A mission of the Diocese of Tucson Archives exists to preserve and make available the history of the Catholic Church in the Southwest USA.|
The Diocese of Tucson continues its work to collect, conserve and promote the artistic and historical
patrimony of the Church through the Archives.
The mission of the Archives is to identify, collect and preserve the historical and canonically significant records and documents that pertain to the spiritual and temporal administration of the Diocese of Tucson. The Archives also provides information about
the history of Arizona relating to the Catholic presence in the area.
Within this mission, the objectives of the Archives include:
• Providing and maintaining secure and organized facilities for the retention and preservation of church artifacts and documents.
• Promoting appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the history of the Diocese by providing researchers access to unrestricted materials and by coordinating and facilitating outreach activities and special events.
• Assisting persons who are searching for sacramental records.
CAUTION: This page is a public publication. All requests for research must be sent directly to the Archives Office. Services will NOT be provided online. Do not post your personal identification information or that of others. It will be deleted.
